HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- Former Sam Houston State defensive tackle P.J. Hall is back in Texas.

Hall is signing with the Houston Texans after spending his first two NFL seasons with the Oakland Raiders, where he was drafted in the second round in 2018.
EnterSports Management, which represents Hall, made the announcement Thursday on Twitter.

Hall had been traded from the Raiders to the Minnesota Vikings, but failed his physical, which nixed the trade. The Raiders then waived Hall.

Hall recorded 1.5 sacks and 48 tackles in his two seasons with the Raiders.

Hall, a Seguin native, was an All-Southland Conference player in each of his four of his seasons with the Bearkats. He was named the conference defensive player of the year in his junior season.

The Texans have been looking to add depth to their defensive line since D.J. Reader signed with the Cincinnati Bengals in free agency.
