The Cinderella story continues.
No. 15 Oral Roberts did it again on Sunday night — knocking off No. 7 Florida, 81-79, to advance to the Sweet 16.
It is just the second time in NCAA history that a No. 15 seed has advanced to the Sweet 16, joining the 2013 Florida Gulf Coast University team.
The Golden Eagles were making their first tournament appearance since 2008 and knocked off No. 2 Ohio State in overtime in the first round on Friday.
They trailed Florida for most of the second half and took their first lead with 2:53 left on a Kevin Obanor jumper. Florida regained the lead on the next possession before Deshuan Weaver hit a 3-pointer to give Oral Roberts an 80-78 lead with 2:10 remaining.
They would not relinquish that lead, as Florida missed a chance to win the game on the final possession and seal the victory for the Golden Eagles.
Naturally, social media has fallen in love with the No. 15 seed.
