Sharpshooter Seth Curry tested positive prior to Thursday night's game between the 76ers and Nets, according to multiple reports, and the Sixers are quarantining in New York as a result.
Curry, who did not play on Thursday due to an ankle injury, went into isolation and according to Ramona Shelburne, he is the player who tested positive. Shelburne also reports that Joel Embiid was sitting next to Curry on the bench and has decided to self-quarantine from his family as a result.
During the game—the second of a back to back—the Sixers struggled and mostly played without much energy. Head coach Doc Rivers said after the game, "The team didn’t come to play. We deserved to lose.”
The 7-2 Sixers are scheduled to play the Denver Nuggets at home Saturday at 3pm before traveling to Atlanta to face the Hawks on Monday night. Obviously, the positive test could affect all of this.
