If Aaron Rodgers really does leave the Green Bay Packers, where could he possibly end up?

Look no further than the Denver Broncos.

According to James Palmer of NFL Network, there are people within the Broncos organization who say “there is a real possibility Aaron Rodgers could end up with the Denver Broncos.”

Palmer cautioned, though, that those same people added that deals of this magnitude are often difficult to execute and that there is always doubt until you actually reach the finish line.

He added that the Packers also need to make Rodgers available, which is obviously a giant hurdle for any team interested in trading for the reigning MVP.

But Palmer also outlined why the Broncos are a legitimate landing spot: they were aggressive in quarterback talks with Matthew Stafford, they have the cap space to add Rodgers and were putting together potential packages of a Rodgers deal when they learned he could be available.

On the night of the first round of the NFL Draft, former Broncos offensive lineman and Fox Sports broadcaster Mark Schlereth had reported that a deal for Rodgers was close to done.

That report was debunked, but it certainly seems like the Broncos are interested in Rodgers and may even be the frontrunners to land him.

Of course, the Packers are standing firm in that they have no plans to trade Rodgers and continue to be engaged in a standoff with the 37-year-old quarterback.

At some point, one of the two will have to cave and until then all Rodgers rumors are just that — rumors.
