49ers agree to three-year extension with LB Fred Warner

The San Francisco 49ers and All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner have agreed to a three-year, $63 million deal. The agreement includes over $56 million guaranteed and will keep Warner in the Bay Area through 2029.

The deal makes Warner the highest-paid linebacker in the NFL, surpassing Baltimore Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith, who has an average annual salary of $20 million.

Warner, 28, is a four-time All-Pro and four-time Pro Bowler. In 115 career games, Warner compiled 36 tackles for loss, 30 quarterback hits, 10 sacks, 15 forced fumbles, and 10 interceptions.
