The 49ers will not be at full strength when they face the Ravens on Christmas Day, in a game that could be a Super Bowl preview.
The interior of San Francisco's defensive line remains spread thin, and there is cause for concern with Arik Armstead spending further time on the sidelines.
Below are the game statuses for the 49ers:
Out
DT Arik Armstead (foot, knee)
LB Oren Burks (knee)
TE Ross Dwelley (ankle)
WR Jauan Jennings (concussion)
Questionable
DT Javon Hargrave (hamstring)
RB Elijah Mitchell (knee)
Here are the Ravens' game statuses:
Out
CB Jalyn Armour-Davis (concussion)
CB Arthur Maulet (knee)
Questionable
WR Zay Flowers (foot)
LB Malik Hamm (ankle)
49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan expressed a fair bit of concern regarding Armstead, who has missed the last two games with foot and knee injuries.
With Kalia Davis being placed on injured reserve and Javon Hargrave questionable, it's been a major point of concern for San Francisco. Shanahan said the foot is worse than the knee, and could leave Armstead out for some time when asked if there was long-term worry.
He believes it's the same injury he dealt with in 2022.
“Yes, we're concerned," Shanahan said. "We do think he has a chance each week, but I'd say it's a little more the foot than the knee. Something that's bothered him for a little bit. I'm just hoping the pain will go down.”
Shanahan said Hargrave looked good on Saturday, but that it was only a walkthrough, making it hard to glean whether he'll be ready to go by Monday night.
