49ers-Seahawks Inactives: Both teams out key CBs

Teams are almost never at full strength for a Thursday night game, and this is no exception. The 49ers and Seahawks are both down some key players.

For the 49ers, starting corner Charvarius Ward (knee) and wide receiver Chris Conley (oblique) were the two questionable players. After working out before the game, Ward was ruled out, while Conley is active.

Already ruled out were defensive tackle Jordan Elliott (knee), linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (calf), safety Talanoa Hufanga (wrist) and kicker Jake Moody (right high ankle sprain).

Hufanga was placed on injured reserve, with tight end Brayden Willis promoted to the active roster in a corresponding move. Willis is also among the full list of inactives for the 49ers below:

- CB Charvarius Ward
- QB Josh Dobbs
- TE Brayden Willis
- LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles
- OL Ben Bartch
- K Jake Moody
- DT Jordan Elliott

The Seahawks had already ruled out outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu (on injured reserve), along with starting corner Tariq Woolen, and rookie defensive tackle Byron Murphy. Here's their inactives list:

- CB Tariq Woolen
- LB Trevis Gipson
- OL Olu Oluwatimi
- OL Sataoa Laumea
- WR Dareke Young
- DT Byron Murphy
- DE Myles Adams

Their sack leaders in Derick Hall and Boye Mafe were both expected to play, with their best safety, Julian Love a game-time decision after a pregame workout. They signed corner Artie Burns to their active roster of their practice squad.
