If you are a star wide receiver in 2024 whose team is being stubborn about paying you, this is simply what you do. Stir the pot. Brandon Aiyuk is at a contract impasse with the 49ers as multiple other young receivers around the league have revealed near or top-of-market deals.

Aiyuk remains waiting, and he's taking to social media to make things more uncomfortable. He posted a video to his TikTok with his former Arizona State quarterback and No. 2 overall pick for the Commanders, Jayden Daniels. He told Daniels, clearly referring to the 49ers, "They don't want me back, I swear."

The video, which you can find here, is captioned "Im laughing but im crying fr."

Aiyuk is set to play out his fifth-year option at $14.1 million per year, but things could get very tricky if a deal isn't done by the start of training camp in late July. The way things are heading, that would not be a surprise.

Indications are strong that Aiyuk wants a deal close to the roughly $30 million per year Amon-Ra St. Brown got for the Lions, but the substantial numbers will the guaranteed and fully guaranteed money. Aiyuk is coming off an All-Pro season with 75 catches for 1,342 yards and 7 TDs. He was the most efficient wide receiver in the league, leading it with a 17.9 yards-per-catch average.
