The 49ers are back in the building. Training camp is underway, and the day before it kicked off, Fred Warner joined Willard and Dibs to talk shop.

Warner was first asked about fellow linebacker Dre Greenlaw, who is recovering from a torn Achilles, and figures to return to the lineup in the middle of the season.

He said Greenlaw is progressing well, and highlighted a mostly young linebacker corps and De'Vondre Campbell that can step up until Greenlaw returns.

But the topic of the hour is Brandon Aiyuk's status. The All-Pro wide receiver held out of mandatory minicamp and could have that holdout linger throughout training camp. Warner said that problem is a good one from the perspective of talent.

"When you're a part of a such a talented roster, I feel like this is something that goes on every season," Warner said. "It's a good issue to have because obviously it means that your players are performing at such a high level that you have to have these kinds of conversations. It's part of the business. We all just let them handle that. When he's back, he's back and we'll welcome him with open arms."
