George Kittle sings very off-tune 49ers ballad at NFL honors

Man, it’s too bad the 49ers didn’t make the Super Bowl. If that was the case, we wouldn’t have heard George Kittle’s horrible song about the end of his team’s season during the NFL Honors in Phoenix on Thursday.

About 40 minutes into the award show, while Kittle was surrounded by some teammates like Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey, the 49ers tight end stood up in the middle of Symphony Hall and took the microphone. It was all downhill from there.

Kittle sang a pretty dreaded song that lasted about a minute while having some back and forth with host and pop music star Kelly Clarkson. It’s a good thing he knows how to catch touchdowns and catch passes, because music ain’t it.

“Yes our season’s over, and yes that last game blew,” Kittle sang to begin the ballad. “But Brock you should still feel proud, we wouldn’t be there without you. And Chrstian McCaffrey, dude can run, catch and pass. But I prefer Nick Bosa putting Dak Prescott on his a–.”

Gotta give it to Kittle for having the guts to put himself out there like that, but I assume that his teammates will be giving him a hard time for that all year long.

Kittle is beloved by fans for his outgoing nature and being an entertainer. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up in the WWE once his football days are over, given his deep love for professional wrestling.

Later in the show, longtime New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan also sang a cheesy song for Sean Payton.

As far as actual awards go, Bosa was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year and former 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans, who is currently head coach of the Houston Texans, was named NFL Assistant Coach of the Year.
