Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin joined 95.7 The Game’s “Damon & Ratto” for his weekly appearance on Monday.
The topic du jour? Trey Lance of course. Irvin gave his impressions of Lance’s so-so season debut and why he’s not worried about the 49ers in the long term. Check out the full interview below:
“There’s some plays in there that (make you think), ‘Oh my God, you can see why (they drafted him).’” Irvin told hosts Damon Bruce and Ray Ratto. “But you can also see he has some growing to do. The kicker is, can we wait on the growing and still stay in the hunt? Especially right now, I say yes you can because the NFC ain’t stacked. Tampa (Bay) and Minnesota probably came out (in Week 1) and looked the best. This thing is still wide open for the NFC.”
