Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin was so excited Sunday morning on NFL Network that you would think he was suiting up for the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Divisional Round.
Prior to the Cowboys taking on the San Francisco 49ers Sunday evening, Irvin delivered an impassioned pep talk to pictures of some of the key players currently sporting the star on their helmets:
The Cowboys are looking to advance to the NFC Championship Game for the first time since the 1995 season, when they eventually won their third Super Bowl title in four years. Irvin, of course, was a key cog during the greatest era in franchise history, along with Troy Aikman and Emmmitt Smith.
If the Cowboys are able to upset the 49ers -- they will enter the game as 3 1/2 point underdogs -- they'll meet the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Title Game at Lincoln Financial Field.
