John Lynch confronted De'Vondre Campbell on sideline [report]
49ers general manager John Lynch might come off as a genial, easygoing man in his front office years. But anyone who has seen him play safety knows that there is an unrelenting edge to him.
According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, that side of Lynch came out Thursday night when he found out De'Vondre Campbell was refusing to play.
Glazer said that Lynch went down to the field in the fourth quarter and "confronted" Campbell:
"I got players who called me after and said, 'Hey, we've heard you talk about the alter ego of John Lynch, this '47 Red' character. Man, we saw it. That dude is crazy.' They all saw it firsthand," Glazer said.
It's a wild report that came before the 49ers suspended Campbell for three games, ensuring he can't go anywhere else and will forfeit salary.
