Lynch expects Jimmy G to be 49ers starter next year if he's injury free

High-ankle sprains wrecked Garoppolo's 2020 campaign

Amid an offseason that has seen the 49ers linked to nearly every quarterback on the free-agent and trade markets, most notably, Deshaun Watson, GM John Lynch has thrown his support (mostly) behind Jimmy Garoppolo.

In an appearance on the Eye Test for Two podcast with Clark Judge Jr. and Ira Kaufman, the Niner exec was asked if he has any doubts as to whether Garoppolo (assuming he is injury free) will be the starter at the beginning of next season.

“No,” Lynch said. “Not at all. I really believe that.”

Here's the Lynch in his own words.
