Jordan Mason likely sustained AC joint sprain [report]
The 49ers came into Thursday night injured, and left Thursday night injured. Such is the nature of a short week game for a veteran team. But the most concerning injury for San Francisco was the one to Jordan Mason.
The third-year running back leads the NFL is rushing with 609 yards, and came out of Thursday's contest with a grimace after being tackled into his left shoulder with his and a defender's full body weight. He returned for one play, then spent the rest of the game on the sidelines.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Friday morning that Mason is "believed" to have suffered an AC joint sprain in that shoulder and that "is not considered serious." The diagnosis is pending further testing. Kyle Shanahan speaks to media Friday afternoon.
This story will be updated with any new information from Shanahan.
