Is Kyle Shanahan's final decision making power being taken away?
According to a report from Michael Silver of The Athletic, a noticeable shift has occurred within the 49ers organization when it comes to the team's roster decisions.
“In the wake of a 6-11 season, a more significant change has taken place. Going ‘all in’ is out; coach-driven emotion is no longer a guiding principle. The 49ers are attempting to be cold, calculated and analytical when it comes to roster decisions, an organizational reset that coincides with the negotiation of a massive contract extension for quarterback Brock Purdy.”
To summarize, Shanahan may not always get the final say, as he has grown accustomed to.
So who should have the final say on a player? Jed York? 49ers GM Jon Lynch? Or should it be Shanahan?
