Whether or not Deebo Samuel will be traded this week is one of the top storylines heading into the NFL Draft.

While Samuel seems disgruntled with the 49ers, GM John Lynch has made it clear that it would take an enormous offer — one they simply can not refuse — in order to trade the star receiver.

Well, the New York Jets may give them that offer.

Tony Pauline, an NFL Draft analyst for Pro Football Network, joined Trey Wingo’s “Draft Insiders” podcast and revealed that a league executive told him “Deebo Samuel is very likely going to end up with the New York Jets.”

Pauline added: “The feeling inside the league is the Niners are listening to offers for Deebo Samuel and the Jets are going to put together such a massive package for Deebo Samuel that the Niners are not going to be able to turn away.”

The Jets own two first round picks, including four within the first 38 picks of the draft and two in the top 10.

The pick the league executive believed the Jets would give up was their No. 10 pick (they also own No. 4 overall).

If the asking price really is two firsts, the Jets will likely need to give up their 2023 first-round pick as well.

Pauline cautioned there is still a lot of uncertainty but said the feeling among league executives is that the 49ers will have the No. 10 pick and Deebo Samuel will be a New York Jet.
