SANTA CLARA — They call it Levi’s South for a reason.

Since the Los Angeles Rams opened SoFi Stadium to fans in 2021, the place has become a home away from home for 49ers fans. During the NFC Championship in January 2022, the Rams tried to give Los Angeles-area fans priority over visitors and the Niners still had almost a projected 2-to-1 edge on fans.

49ers edge rusher Nick Bosa thinks the Faithful will be out in full force again on Sunday, when the two NFC West foes reprise their rivalry.

“It’s great. We have the best traveling fanbase overall,” Bosa said Wednesday. “Pittsburgh was impressive and I think we’ll take over L.A.”

The Rams have also made the decision to wear their home white uniforms for the clash, meaning the Niners will be wearing their red home jerseys for the first time. It’s fitting, really, and coach Kyle Shanahan is hoping the team can build momentum with two straight road wins to begin the season. For the second straight year, the 49ers will be playing nine home games compared to eight road games.

“I think when you start on the road and if you can start out 2-0 there's only so many road games and you'd always rather them be at home,” Shanahan said. “So, when you have that good of a record to start, it's just more momentum going forward.”
