The 49ers have promoted Adam Peters to assistant GM, the team announced on Friday morning.
"Adam has earned this promotion, which is a result of his hard work and dedication to the 49er Way," 49ers GM John Lynch said in a statement. "He has been a tremendous asset to our team and we look forward to Adam continuing to play an integral role in all aspects of football operations in our quest to compete for championships."
Peters, Lynch's top lieutenant, has spent the past four seasons as vice president of player personnel for the 49ers. The Niner exec has almost landed the GM gig with the Panthers before earning his new job in Santa Clara.
