Tuesday was terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day for San Francisco sports fans.
They woke up to the news that Carlos Correa had been snatched up by the New York Mets while they were sleeping. Tuesday evening, the Warriors were putting up a stinker against the Brooklyn Nets.

At least the 49ers did their part to improve people’s moods, as six players were named to the Pro Bowl and seven more were listed as alternates.
Pro Bowlers: DL Nick Bosa, S Talanoa Hufanga, FB Kyle Juszczyk, TE George Kittle, LB Fred Warner and T Trent Williams
Alternates: OL Jake Brendel, K Robbie Gould, RB Christian McCaffrey, WR Ray-Ray McCloud (return specialist), WR Deebo Samuel, CB Charvarius Ward and P Mitch Wishnowsky
You gotta feel good for first-timer Talanoa Hufanga, while the other five Niners are now seasoned Pro Bowlers. In his second season out of USC, Hufanga has turned in game-changing turnovers and tackles on a weekly basis.
Obviously, the potential incentives for players are nice, but the Niners would rather be unavailable to play and preparing for the Super Bowl.
Despite losing two quarterbacks – Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo – to major injuries, the 49ers are still viewed as contenders thanks to their star-studded team. The Pro Bowl selections confirm it, and you can also make a strong case that linebacker Dre Greenlaw was a complete snub. McCaffrey also didn't get a firm invite despite leading NFC running backs in all-purpose yards (1,578), as many viewed his exclusion as a major snub.
Granted, the Pro Bowl doesn’t mean as much as it used to, but it’s still a nice feather in the cap for this group of 49ers.
