Few people know the stakes of a 49ers-Packers playoff game like former 49ers head coach and Packers quarterbacks coach Steve Mariucci. Mooch joined Willard and Dibs Thursday to discuss the matchup, and broke down Brock Purdy's excellence.

Mariucci was asked about the criticism of Purdy as a system quarterback. He said the criticism of Purdy for having weapons is nonsensical. He had franchise-level compliments for Purdy.
"First of all, I think Brock Purdy has enough sample size to show us that he is a legit franchise quarterback," Mariucci said. "So all the other stuff, you're playing on a good team, that's great. But Steve Young or Joe Montana or any of the great players, they had a good supporting cast, too. And they played on a good team, too. You can't be a good quarterback unless you're on a good team. Yeah, you can lift everybody around you a little bit, but it starts with teammates, too. So I think, Brock Purdy, if you put him on other teams in different systems, he plays pretty darn well."
If the 49ers do win their next two games to earn a trip to the Super Bowl and face the Ravens, Mariucci also believes there won't be a repeat of the 49ers' last matchup with Baltimore.
"Brock Purdy is the guy that can distribute the ball all around to everybody. They share the wealth," Mariucci said. "I do think if they play the Ravens again that he's not gonna throw four picks now. He'll play like Brock Purdy normally plays and it'll be a much different outcome."
