San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams and Phladelphia Eagles safety K’Von Wallace were both ejected with just over four minutes left in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s NFC Championship Game after Williams grabbed Wallace by the collar and threw him to the ground following a play:

A clear case of frustration boiling over for the Niners, who were getting routed 31-7 at the time and had lost both of their quarterbacks to injury, with the second – Josh Johnson going out with a concussion – forcing Brock Purdy, who had left with an elbow injury, back into action while basically unable to throw the football with anything resembling power.

"Do whatever you gotta do, but I don't want my guys getting fined or getting kicked out of a football game," George Kittle said. "I don't want Trent Williams to fight anybody 'cause that's probably scary for them."

Several players left the bench, and will likely be fined for doing so, but Williams was shown the door for the action, as was, for some reason, Wallace – with both penalized for unnecessary roughness.

Williams will have about eight months to think about it, while Wallace got an early start to get ready for Super Bowl XLVII in two weeks.
