The tight end position is seldom a coveted on in the NFL Draft, but in the case of Florida Gators star and potential San Francisco 49ers target Kyle Pitts, there might just be an exception.

Pitts is not just one of the most talented pass catchers in the 2021 NFL Draft class, he could arguably be the best overall player, and that will make the 49ers' decision on draft day a tough one.

It will be especially tough considering their new spot in the draft order after they traded up to the No. 3 spot with the Miami Dolphins, in a move that most believed was intended to help them acquire their next franchise quarterback.

"Is it a QB or is it me?" Pitts reportedly asked Tim Brewster, his tight ends coach with the Florida Gators.

And for once, a tight end may in fact be justified in that question, even with the 49ers already possessing one of the top tight end's in the entire NFL in George Kittle.

Pitts, however, could bring a totally different dynamic to the 49ers offense in tandem with Kittle -- enough of a dynamic to entice a veteran NFL offensive coach to tell ESPN that Pitts might just be the best tight end talent to ever enter the NFL Draft.

"Best tight end film I've ever evaluated -- by far," the offensive coach told ESPN. "Playing him like a traditional tight end is like leaving a Porsche in the garage. You've got to get him out and move him around."
