Bruce Bochy is entering his third season as a special advisor for the Giants.

The longtime former skipper, who led the franchise to three World Series titles during his tenure from 2007 to 2019, will be bouncing around the organizations’ minor league affiliates this season to lend a trusted set of eyes and ears.

Bochy joined 95.7 The Game’s “Willard & Dibs” Thursday to discuss the upcoming season, his role and more. Check out the full interview above.

“I’m enjoying it. I get to stay in the game and have some fun with it,” Bochy told hosts Mark Willard and Kyle Madson (filling in for Dan Dibley). “Then I get to come home and get to spend time with the family.”

Bochy is excited to see how the organization follows up last year’s record-setting 107-win season.

“You gotta give credit to everybody starting at the top there with Farhan (Zaidi) and with how much he’s improved the roster,” Bochy said. “It’s just amazing, contributions from everybody.”

On Thursday morning, Giants manager Gabe Kapler announced that Joey Bart would be the team’s Opening Day catcher, as he gets set to succeed Buster Posey.

“It’s tough to replace one of the best players in the game. He led us to three championships, that’s not easy,” Bochy said. “I’m a Joey Bart fan. I like Joey and I think he’s ready for this. There’s going to be some growing pains here and there, but you stay behind this guy and I think he’s going to do a really nice job there. He’s gonna do some damage. He’s not gonna hit what Buster did as soon as average. He’s gonna drive in some runs and he’s gonna hit some balls out of the ballpark, but he can handle a staff.”
