It was a tough week in San Francisco: Buster Posey announced his retirement from the San Francisco Giants on Thursday after a sterling 12-year career. 95.7 The Game's Bonta Hill joined others like Gabe Kapler and Bruce Bochy to remember Posey's remarkable career.

A three-time world champion, 2010 Rookie of the Year and 2012 Most Valuable Player – not to mention three World Series titles – all while wearing a San Francisco Giants jersey. Fans stood outside San Francisco's Oracle Park Thursday to greet Posey one last time.

Gina, who lives down the street from Oracle Park, told KCBS Radio's "Bay Current" that she's been a steady Giants fan for 20 years. "I'm bummed. But I am so glad for him that he's leaving on his own terms," she said.
Posey, 34, said he wants to spend time with his family and also noted the physical toll that his MLB career has taken on his health. Posey retires with 1,500 big league hits and 158 home runs.
He will be eligible for the Hall of Fame in five years.
