Giants' Anthony DeSclafani got mad at White Sox's Andrew Vaughn … apparently for swinging at a 3-0 pitch?

(670 The Score) It didn’t take long for Giants right-hander Anthony DeSclafani to get bent out of shape Monday afternoon against the White Sox, and it wasn’t completely clear why he was angry.

After White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn was retired on a chopper back to the mound for the second out of the bottom of the second inning, DeSclafani started chirping at him as Vaughn headed back to the dugout. The White Sox's bench nearly emptied amid the feud.

Vaughn grounded out on a 3-0 pitch, which White Sox broadcasters Jason Benetti and Steve Stone as well as others speculated had to be the reason that DeSclafani was mad. But considering it has always been and remains legal under MLB rules to swing at 3-0 pitches and that it was a close game early on, it would seem odd for DeSclafani to be so worked up about that, especially when he recorded an out on the play.
