Giants bring Bobby Evans back to front office [report]

A familiar face is returning to the Giants front office. According to Jeff Passan of ESPN, San Francisco is bringing back its old general manager, Bobby Evans, along with Jeff Berry as advisors to Buster Posey.

It's a move that adds veterans to a front office that is currently overseen by a man, in Posey, severely lacking in that area. His reasonable approach in the early going seems to be to add those who have what he does not.

Evans joined the Giants back in 1994 and climbed his way up from a minor league administrative assistant to the GM in 2015. He was fired as GM in 2018 and reassigned.
