Outside of San Diego, pitchers in the National League West probably weren’t too happy with the way the MLB trade deadline went down Tuesday.

The Padres added 23-year-old superstar Juan Soto and could ink him to a long-term contract extension in the coming months. Not to mention San Diego added .300-hitting first baseman Josh Bell, along with Brandon Drury and his 20 home runs and .520 slugging percentage. Not to mention that star shortstop Fernando Tatis is facing live pitching after missing the entire season so far due to recovery from a fractured left wrist.

Giants right-hander Logan Webb is a master at GIFs on Twitter and he didn’t disappoint with his reaction to Soto’s introductory press conference. He quote-tweeted a perfect reaction from John C. Reilly, while responding to a quick bite from Soto who said, “I wish good luck to the other pitchers,” with a hearty laugh.

Webb’s GIF game stays undefeated.

At this point, all you can do is laugh right? The Giants just used to have to deal with a superteam in Los Angeles – as the Dodgers have acquired stars like Mookie Betts, Trea Turner and Freddie Freeman recently to add to an already stacked lineup. Now San Francisco has to deal with the heavy-hitting Padres.

Considering that San Diego has shelled out huge deals for Tatis (14 years, $340 million) and Manny Machado (10 years, $300 million), there’s no reason to think ownership won’t throw a huge deal at Soto, too.

Buckle up, Webb, the NL West party is just beginning.
