Madison Bumgarner was characteristically blunt when asked about the trade noise swirling around him after Thursday night’s 16-inning win.
“I don’t give a sh--,” Bumgarner responded, when asked if the Giants’ strong play lessens his concern about a potential trade.
Bumgarner threw nine innings of one-run ball, scattering five hits and a walk, while punching out six, in the eventual 3-2 win over the Mets.
“I’m here to win games for this team and that’s what we’re doing.”

While Bumgarner is out on deadline talk, the rumblings keep emerging:
#RedSox had a high-level scout watching the Madison Bumgarner-Noah Syndergaard matchup in San Francisco last night. It is possible that #SFGiants relievers were the primary focus of that assignment. @MLB @MLBNetwork
