Trae Young received some encouraging news on Monday.

An MRI on the Atlanta Hawks star’s right foot revealed a bone bruise and Young will be questionable for Tuesday’s Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals, according to a team statement.

Young sustained the injury at the end of the third quarter when he stepped on a referee’s foot. He did not play the beginning of the fourth quarter but was eventually able to return to the court to finish the game.

A bone bruise is certainly better than a sprain or a tear, although Young said the ankle was sore and hurting but was optimistic to play in Game 4 following Sunday’s Game 3 loss to the Bucks.

Game 4 will be a pivotal game in the series for the Hawks, who trail the Bucks 2-1 at home. Young’s availability will be crucial in their chances to avoid going down 3-1 back to Milwaukee on the brink of elimination.
