The extension tacked on four years to Kelce's deal and will keep him in Kansas City for the next six seasons, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported. The contract is expected to be completed in the next couple of days.
Kelce, 30, is a five-time Pro Bowler and has twice been named first team All-Pro. He was an instrumental player in the Chiefs' dynamic offense that helped lead them to a Super Bowl title this past season. Kelce had 97 catches for 1,229 yards and five touchdowns in the regular season. He also had 19 catches and four touchdowns in the playoff run.
Kelce has four straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons.
Kelce's impending extension continues a trend of locking in star players for the Chiefs, who inked quarterback Patrick Mahomes to a 10-year extension and defensive lineman Chris Jones to a five-year extension earlier this summer.
