Combing through the 95.7 The Game Instagram account, compiling the most memorable images and videos from the year that was, the most striking — and immediate — realization is that so much of this year in sports was not, in fact, about sports.
Oh, there were injuries, injuries, injuries — especially in the Bay Area — but there was also a flood of social and environmental issues that poured into the world of sports, a veritable deluge. And, of course, COVID.
