The show announced this week that McEntire will take the vacant coach position left vacant by Shelton after he exits the show following 23 seasons.
"There's a new Coach in town!" McEntire shared via social media. "See you all this Fall! #TheVoice."
McEntire will join the shows 24th season, premiering this fall alongside fellow coaches, John Legend, Niall Horan and Blake’s wife, Gwen Stefani.
While the coaching position will be McEntire’s first permanent position on the show — it won’t be her first experience coaching the talent as she recently appeared as a “mega mentor” during season 23.
Shelton revealed he’d be leaving the show after season 23 last fall after being the longest-tenured coach on the singing-competition show.
“This show has changed my life in every way for the better and it will always feel like home to me,” he expressed in a post announcing his departure. “It’s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns. I’ve made lifelong bonds with [host] Carson [Daly] and every single one of my fellow coaches over the years, including my wife Gwen Stefani!”
