Other players waived after Texans training camp joining the practice squad are defensive end Derek Rivers, defensive back Shyheim Carter, wide receiver Chris Moore, tight end Anthony Auclair, offensive linemen Carson Green and Ryan McCollum, and wide receiver Jordan Veasy.
Former Raiders and UH Cougars cornerback Isaiah Johnson is also signing to the Texans' practice squad.
