HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- As expected, Texans starting safety Justin Reid is inactive for Thursday night's game against the Carolina Panthers after suffering a knee injury in Sunday's loss to the Cleveland Browns.
Reid will be replaced by Lonnie Johnson Jr., who will work in tandem with Eric Murray. Expect to see Terrence Brooks play some safety as well.

Also in active Thursday night are linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill (also sidelined with a knee injury); defensive end Jordan Jenkins; cornerback Terrance Mitchell (concussion); wide receiver Danny Amendola (hamstring); tight end Brevin Jordan and quarterback Deshaun Watson (both healthy scratches).
Jenkins is an interesting inactive because he did not appear on the injury report from practices this week.
The Texans (1-1) look to bounce back against the Panthers (2-0) after a physical 31-21 loss to the Browns. The Panthers, meanwhile, boast the league's top-ranked defense and have beaten the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints.
