(SportsRadio 610) -- The Texans are crowded at slot receiver after trading for Anthony Miller from the Chicago Bears last week, but it appears they could be sending away a different veteran back to the NFC North.
Randall Cobb, who started his career with the Packers before spending the past two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans, respectively, appears headed back to Green Bay.
Chris Brockman of the Rich Eisen Show reported Tuesday afternoon that Cobb back to the Packers "is a done deal" with an announcement coming soon.
This is consistent with a report Monday saying the Packers' disgruntled quarterback Aaron Rodgers wants Cobb back in Green Bay.
Trey Wingo, formerly of ESPN, reported Monday that Rodgers playing for the Packers hinged on them trading for Cobb, which reportedly set in motion the Texans' trade for Miller.
A tweet earlier Tuesday from Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks also appeared to indicate Cobb could be headed back to Green Bay.
"You meet people and they become family right away!" Cooks tweeted. "@rcobb18 go back home and set it off."
Cobb ranked third in Texans catches (38) and receiving yards last season (441).
