Janice, who originally was Big Boi's assistant manager initially got the idea during an appearance on the Monique Show. "There were some RVs that were parked backstage," she says. "I had an RV at the time and I said to the producers of the Monique Show, I was like, 'Aye my RVs better than that one.' You know, I was like, 'You should use my RV.' And the producer said, 'If you can go ahead and give us an RV to match this one or make it better, then I'll give you an account.' So, I went all over the world trying to find an RV... once I found it, BET gave me the account."
After she successfully impressed BET with her acquisition of the RV for the Monique Show, they called her back with an even bigger request, "We need seven trailers for the game," she recalled them saying to her. She immediately thought, "Where am I going to get seven trailers?," but called on Big Boi for his help -- and he was immediately on board.
"You know they call me the king of putting people on. I like to give everybody a shot especially when they sharp like Janice," Big said, explaining how it was practically a no-brainer to partner with her on Celebrity Trailers.
He revealed that he had been trying to stay away from doing a reality show for the longest. "They had to beg me to do this one. I'm like, 'Well this my business with my partner, and the only thing I had to do was be me, be the co-boss, and come in and boss up," the rapper admitted.
The 10-episode series is available now on Hulu. Check out the interview above to hear the full conversation between the three.
