After teasing his forthcoming new album, For All the Dogs, since he announced it earlier this summer, Drake has finally revealed the project will drop on September 22.

Drake made the announcement using a throwback performance clip of his father Dennis Graham, and it’s a straight up vibe.

Introduced as “Cousin Dennis” from Memphis, Tennessee, Dennis performs on Stormy Monday With Danny Marks, a local television series in Toronto that aired during the nineties.

Drake first revealed that For All the Dogs was on its way just hours after dropping his poetry book, Titles Ruin Everything, in June. “I made an album to go with the book,” he wrote at the time. “They say they miss the old Drake girl don’t tempt me. FOR ALL THE DOGS.”

Then, last month, Drake unveiled the new album’s artwork, designed by his son, Adonis Graham. And just as we predicted, Drake would shortly follow that up with a single, tracklist, or the actual album itself. While Drizzy went with option three, with two weeks left until the album arrives, there’s still plenty of time to deliver the others as well.

In the meantime, check out the announcement above.
