Big Tigger of V-103 Atlanta's The Big Tigger Morning Show was joined by director Steven Caple Jr. and actor Tobe Nwigwe to discuss their latest film, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, where they dive into the trends seen throughout the film and the possibility of a follow-up movie.

Set in 1994 Brooklyn, the three bonded over the way this movie was filmed and "reflected the culture." Caple admitted that when getting into the making of this film, "I felt like they needed something different, a change of direction," so he wanted to switch up the way traditional Transformers movies were made -- from the cast to the soundtrack.
He compared the film to a "time capsule," as many vital elements from the '90s were intentionally included in the film -- like beepers (or pagers, depending on where you're from), cassette tapes, and vintage/special edition clothes from brands like Rocawear.

Now without any spoilers -- you're going to have to watch the movie -- there is a scene at the end that hints at another franchise. Caple confirmed that the hints are true while also dropping that he will be working on another Transformer film along with some other projects in the works.
Nwigwe, who originally is a rapper made his acting debut in this film and for him, it was an amazing experience as he felt like the cast and staff were very easy to work with.
While he is originally a rapper, he was able to bring some of that flare to the film for the movie's soundtrack where he did a song with Nas. "I feel like it's an amazing moment in time to where you could have a franchise like this and a legend like Nas all together," Nwigwe said on how he felt about the collaboration.
Listen to the full chat with Big Tigger above. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is in theaters beginning June 9.
