A proud graduate of Mississippi State University’s Broadcast Meteorology program, Rodgers also holds a B.A. from Furman University. His career in television meteorology began in Columbia, S.C., where he worked as the weather anchor at WOLO-TV and WIS-TV and as the morning meteorologist at WACH-TV. After moving to Charlotte, he became the morning news meteorologist at WCCB-TV before furthering his career in Orlando, FL, at WESH-TV. It was there that he gained experience with major weather events, including hurricanes, tornadoes, and record freezes, all of which prepared him to navigate the complex and diverse weather patterns of the Carolinas.

Rodgers grew up in Jonesville, S.C., where he was captain of the varsity basketball team, student body president, and class salutatorian. His leadership and team-oriented approach have been integral to his success, which has been recognized with five Emmy® Awards – including three for “Best Newscast” and two for “Best Morning Show.”

Despite his numerous accolades, Rodgers remains grounded and committed to serving his community. He believes in the importance of providing viewers with reliable and relevant weather information that impacts their daily lives, whether it's for their commute, weekend plans, or general well-being.
