In a historic move, Josh Simpson was elected as the Mayor of Reidville in January 2024, becoming the town's youngest and first Black Mayor. In this pivotal role, he takes on the responsibilities of enforcing ordinances, ensuring compliance with local and state laws, and overseeing the town's progressive development.
Originally hailing from Union, SC, Josh pursued his education at Wofford College, where he not only excelled academically, graduating cum laude with a degree in accounting, but also showcased his athletic prowess as a pitcher for the Terriers. His background in accounting, sales, and business ownership has equipped him with a diverse skill set, which he leverages to contribute to the growth and prosperity of the communities he serves.
