Thomas G. Robinson, a native of Greenville, is the owner of Corporate Staffing Services, which specializes in placement of office and clerical, light industrial and medical staffing in the Upstate of South Carolina. He is also the senior partner in a Real- Estate Investment Company, The Robinson Group of S.C and he is a senior partner of Robinson Group Realty which is Property Management Company and Renovation Company.
Prior to opening the above businesses, Bro. Robinson was employed with Union Carbide as a Quality Control Engineer and Human Resource Manager for 18 years. He also was employed with Greenville Hospital System as an Assistant Director of Human Resource for 7 years.
He is an active member of Antioch Baptist Church where he serves as a Deacon and Chairman of the Antioch Housing Corp.
His community involvement has consisted of serving on the Board of Senior Action for Greenville County and the New Horizon Family Health Services Inc., formally the Greenville Community Health Center. He also serves as Vice President of the Greenville Local Development Corporation and serves on Greenville New Market Opportunity Committee. Past affiliations and boards consist of, Greenville Hospital System Credit Union, Past President of Greenville Area Personnel Association (1995), Past President of Anderson Area SHRM (2002). Past Chairman of Board of Goodwill Industries. Also, he is a member of Society of Human Resources Management, National Association of Healthcare Executives and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. Bro Robinson has been a member of the fraternity for 52 years and he was recognized in 2018 for 50 years of service to the Fraternity. He is past chair of the Achievement Week Program, served on the Mardi Gras Committee, serves on the board for Omega Limited and presently chairs the Renovation Committee for the Fraternity House.
He is a graduate of Leadership Greenville Class XVIII and was a 1997 Nominee for Leadership Greenville Distinguish Alumni Award. He is a recipient of the H R Professional of the Year Award (2000), Community Relations Award of Greenville County (2000), Minority Business of the Year Award from the Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce (2002), Certified by Carolina Minority Suppliers Development Councils, Inc and Certified be the SC Governor’s Office as a Minority Business.
Educationally, Robinson received a BS Degree in Biology from Barber Scotia College, Concord, North Carolina.
He is married to Malinda L. Robinson and the have two sons, Marcus and Corey, who are principles in the above business. Two granddaughters, Ashtyn and Kelsey and three grandsons, Marc Anthony, Kyle and Caleb.
