Black History on The Block
Audacy

Brian A. Murrill graduated from Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.

After gaining several years of professional experience, Brian returned to serve his illustrious alma mater in 2011 as a Marketing Director for Athletics with responsibility for sponsorships, tickets sales, fundraising and marketing for all university sports programs.

In 2013, driven by the personal impact that Multiple Sclerosis (MS) had on his family, Brian established the MSFit Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides free physical therapy and wellness programs to people living with MS. Brian partnered with the School of Health Science at WSSU to have the program managed by graduate students as volunteers. The success of the program and the partnership resulted in these efforts being formally added to the school’s graduate level physical therapy curriculum. Brian also received a certification for Essentials of Business Management for Non-Profit Organizations from Wake Forest University School of Business and
School of Law.

Shortly after in 2014, he joined Urban Sports and Entertainment as a Senior Account Manager where he managed multi-million dollar sponsorship portfolios of the CIAA Basketball Tournament, Honda Battle of the Bands, and the SWAC Championship Tournament.

In 2017, Brian began his entrepreneurial journey as the owner of Steadfast Freight and Logistics, managing a commercial fleet along with offering brokering services in the transportation industry. In 2020, he added EcoSteam Detail to his ownership portfolio after he began offering a unique, comprehensive express steam detailing service for personal vehicles and commercial fleets.

Brian recently diversified his portfolio after becoming a franchise owner of Nothing Bundt Cakes, a retail bakery, with future plans of expansion within and beyond his current territory.

Brian is husband to Felicia and father to Bryce-Alexander as well as a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated. He is also an active member within his community through his personal and professional associations.
