Supporting students in their endeavor to become a healthcare professional is a consistent goal. Her most memorable bit of wisdom in health care came from a patient when she was a newly hired nurse working in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Sensing her apprehension of her new job, the patient told her “Selling tractors and cars are not the same but as long as you put forth the effort to learn and believe in yourself, you can master both”! The patient was essentially saying just because you’re a nurse doesn’t mean you won’t have growing pains when starting a new job. Dr. Jennings-Jeter states she learned from that encounter and believe in herself even when things seem impossible!
Dr. Jennings-Jeter is married to Deacon James C. Jeter and is a Union, South Carolina Native. She has three grown children and eight grandchildren.
