Javion Woods is a momprenuer and founder of ‘More than a Mother’, a non-profit organization that empowers mothers and wives to experience a fulfilling life beyond gender roles. Having been married at age 15, Javion took on marital and maternal roles as a child, during which she endured and overcame both physical and mental abuse. She understands the trials and triumph that come with being a wife and single mother. Today, it is her lifelong mission to help mothers and repressed women in traditional marriages pursue a more prosperous life.
In addition to her non-profit, Javion has founded and owns multiple businesses including Javi’s Chair, a life coaching business that encompasses all essential aspects of life; Life Eaze Virtual Assistant, and Embellished Phenom Rentals and Events. She has also served as the Co-Chair Vice President for the Urban League of the Upstate Project Ready 2018-2020; and lends philanthropic support to various Upstate community initiatives, primarily through her nonprofit ‘More Than a Mother’.
For her efforts as a mother, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Javion was awarded the 2020 Women of Excellence award and was featured in the Upstate Business Journal.
She continues to receive recognition, including Greenville's Best and Brightest Under 35, 2021; ACHI Magazine Award Nominee 2021 for Entrepreneur of the Year and Woman of Inspiration Award; and was featured as the Official Event Sponsor for The Black Wealth Summit 2021.
Javion is the proud mother of 10 beautiful children, engaged to her life partner Carlos Whetstone. She believes her family is her grandest achievement, and more than anything, everyone has a unique story and there is no better way to tell it than to thrive and excel.
