Dr. Tywana Groce graduated with Honors from Hampton University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. She matriculated to Temple University School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree in 2008. Dr. Groce graduated as a National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Scholar and began to practice dentistry with a commitment to serve in underserved areas in South Carolina.

As a NHSC Scholar, Dr. Groce was able to work in underserved communities to help bring dental care to a population lacking resources needed to access proper care.  She worked as a Dental Director for Federal Qualified Community Health Centers in both McCormick and Spartanburg, SC.  As Dental Director she provided preventative and restorative dental care to low-income individuals and families across northern counties of South Carolina.

In 2011 Dr. Groce founded Precision Dental at the age of 29.  In 5 years, Precision Dental outgrew the facility and was relocated with state-of-the-art equipment and technology that would serve to better manage patients and their needs. Precision Dental provides family and cosmetic dentistry for children as young as 6 months to the elderly.  Services include Crowns and Bridges, Custom Porcelain Veneers, Dental Bonding, Tooth Colored Fillings, Invisible Braces, Teeth Whitening Services, Implant Placement and Restoration, Routine Cleanings and Non-Surgical Periodontal Therapy, Extractions, Routine and Emergency Exams, and Digital X-rays.

Precision Dental is committed to the community and giving back. Dr. Groce is a select number of dentists in South Carolina that provides dental care to Medicaid recipients and has reduced pricing for individuals that lack dental insurance. Precision Dental has sponsored and partnered with several community leaders in Greenville, SC to assist in efforts of service to the local community.  In 2018 the Precision Dental Summer Internship Program was established for esteemed college students with an interest in the field of Dentistry. Dr. Groce bridges the gap for minority students that lack the resources and direct access to someone in the field. Students are able to observe and have hands-on experiences, as well as get a close up look as to what it is to be a dentist and an entrepreneur.

Dr. Groce is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentist, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics, and the Live Implant Training Institute. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, and the Piedmont Dental Society. Currently Dr. Groce serves on the Diversity Committee of the South Carolina Dental Association, is the Vice President of the Upstate Pirates Hampton University Alumni Association, and is an active member of Epsilon Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
