Monique McFadden, affectionately known as “Mo’,” is a visionary entrepreneur, philanthropist, and mentor who has dedicated her life to serving others through food, faith, and community impact. As the founder and CEO of Mo’ Flavorz Catering, Private Dining, Events & More, she has redefined the catering experience, offering a one-stop-shop that extends beyond food—providing private chef services, bartending, event enhancements, and more. Her ability to create unforgettable culinary experiences has earned her the title “The All-Purpose Caterer.”
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, and raised in Kingstree, South Carolina, Mo’ moved to the Upstate in 2011, where she built a career in surgical administration before answering her true calling in 2020. What began as a leap of faith evolved into an award-winning business, recognized for its quality, convenience, and personal touch.
Her dedication to excellence has garnered widespread acclaim, including being named South Carolina’s Best Event Caterer and earning titles such as James Beard Foundation Favorite Chef Finalist, Upstate Community Choice Finalist, Top Chef in Atlanta, and one of Greenville’s Top 25 Most Beautiful. Her work has been spotlighted in numerous publications and broadcast media, further cementing her influence in the industry.
Beyond Business: A Mission to Inspire and Serve
Mo’ believes success is measured not only in business but in the impact left on others. Through her mentorship platform, The Mo’Tivational Mentor, LLC, she provides accountability coaching and business mentorship, helping aspiring entrepreneurs and individuals unlock their full potential. With a focus on transparency and strategic growth, she guides others toward sustainable success.
Her heart for service led her to launch The Shunammite Effect, a nonprofit inspired by the faith, resilience, and generosity of the Shunammite woman in the Bible. The organization is dedicated to empowering single parents and families facing hardship by providing essential resources, mentorship programs, and personal development workshops. The Shunammite Effect stockpiles necessities, hosts community outreach events, and offers emergency assistance, ensuring that those in need receive both tangible support and spiritual encouragement.
Mo’s guiding principle is that service extends beyond the plate. Her tagline, “Serving Love That You Can Taste,” is more than a slogan—it’s a commitment to excellence, hospitality, and genuine connection. Her impact in the community is fueled by faith, integrity, and a relentless desire to uplift others.
A devoted wife to Johnyell for 13 years and a proud mother to McKayla (21), Trinity (18), and Jesiah (12), Mo’ strives to create a legacy that blends business with purpose. Whether through her culinary expertise, mentorship, or philanthropy, she remains dedicated to turning clients into family, providing hope to those in need, and ensuring that every endeavor reflects her passion for service.
With faith as her foundation and community as her mission, Monique McFadden continues to inspire, uplift, and serve—one plate, one lesson, and one act of kindness at a time.
