Self-driven and ambitious, Devonte Hellams, serves as an entrepreneur and is the Owner of With Care Cleaning Services and OnDemand Entertainment. Also known as DJ Montana Ali, he was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, the oldest of 4 children and 13 grandchildren.
After he completed high school, Devonte accepted a scholarship to run track at Limestone College in Gaffney, South Carolina, before transferring to the University of South Carolina. While here, and with a lifetime love for music, he began DJ-ing during his sophomore year which allowed him to showcase his talent, and in doing so, become the hottest DJ on campus. In 2015, and still continuing to perfect his skill in music, he earned his Bachelor's degree in Information Management and Systems. Around the same time, he also formed his first business, the talent management company, OnDemand Entertainment. Alongside building up this business, with his degree in tow, Devonte spent the next two years working with a mortgage company. However, with an undying passion, he left his role within the corporate world, opting instead to pursue his dream to work in the music industry. This would make it possible for him to tour nationally as a DJ with various artists, including Rick Ross.
Growing into a popular South Carolina DJ, Devonte then worked as a radio personality, hosting 96.3 The Block, 7 days a week. Noticed for his skill as a DJ, he would become the recipient of numerous awards, including DJ of The Year, On-air Personality/DJ of The Year, and DJ to Know In America.
He would even receive a Key to The City of Greenville, South Carolina.
In August of 2020, Devonte would sadly face the heartache of losing his beloved grandmother, who passed away due to complications of COVID at just 62 years old. Knowing that, "no weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper;" he used his loss to create his second business, With Care Cleaning Services. Wanting to prevent others from feeling the same pain he and his family felt, his company focuses on cleaning and disinfecting as a way to prevent COVID and other viruses from spreading; a mission driven by his grandmother's love for cleaning, and her father's business, Greenville Janitorial.
In addition to his cleaning service and talent company, Devonte not only co-founded a nonprofit in honor of his grandmother, but he also co-founded the, Patricia “Nurse Pat” Edwards Nursing Scholarship, for college juniors and seniors. A proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., he also sits on the Commerce Club membership committee, and regularly hosts community fundraisers and other events that promote love and positive energy. Outside of all he does, Devonte enjoys relaxing by watching movies and experiencing new things.
Always committed to improving himself, and in following the quote, "May the work I’ve done speak for me;” he maintains his entrepreneurial spirit by reading books on personal growth and self improvement.
As he does so, it is his hope the future will allow him to build wealth, and most importantly, establish a legacy for his family and their next generations.
