As we are just one day away from our September 23, I’m Listening broadcast, happening at 6PM on all Audacy stations and on the Audacy app, Lil Nas X spoke about how focusing on mental health is crucial to his career.
LNX says, “Well, of course, it’s like probably the most important thing in your career, is maintaining your strong mental health.”
The MONTERO artist explains, “the way I do that is making sure I share myself with as much love as possible, especially in my dark times, and always reminding myself that the next day is going to feel better.”
I’m Listening is a 365-day-a-year initiative that aims to encourage those who are dealing with mental health issues to understand they are not alone, and once a year we pause on every Audacy station across the country to show it's okay not to be OK.
This year's I’m Listening will be hosted by Carson Daly (NBC’s Today show and The Voice) as well as pioneering psychologist and author, Dr. Alfiee M. Breland-Noble (The AAKOMA Project). Our star-studded guest lineup includes conversations with Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Doja Cat, Shakira, Justin Bieber, Cleveland Cavaliers' Kevin Love, Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, Jack Antonoff, and more.
Audacy's I’m Listening initiative aims to encourage those who are dealing with mental health issues to understand they are not alone.
