Audacy interviewed Kit Harington to gain insights into the experience of working alongside Mark Wahlberg and joining the movie franchise.
Romeo International: "One of my favorite scenes is you and Mark in the art museum and the verbal sparring back and forth. I love the combativeness. What’s it like working with Mark Walberg on this project?"
Kit Harington: "It was a bit of a kind of dreamlike working with him. Aspired to him for a long time. I’ve looked up to his work, his career, you know, he was on an HBO show long before I was. So it’s a bit daunting when you’re moving into, like, working with that person. You’re like, 'I’ve gotta hope this guy’s nice. I hope this isn’t gonna be hard.' And it really, it really wasn’t. We clicked, and we got on very well, and he couldn’t have been more welcoming and professional and brilliant. Then we obviously had loads of fight stuff, but you’re right. There’s something really enjoyable about going into a scene with Mark, where it’s just, it’s a simple dialogue scene about something very simple, which is, you rejected me when I needed you to bring me in."
Romeo International: "I also noticed he’s a fit nut, and I know you’re a fitness nut. There’s a lot of cardio in this film, man. Where you prepared for that?"
Kit Harington: "I think I was, but then I’ve seen how fit he is. And also, like, I think that I know how to fake fight, but he knows how to real fight. So that was a bit kind of like, I knew that if any of his punches actually landed, I’d be in trouble. So I’m definitely in more danger. He’s a very athletic man. Those, the fights we did, we did for real, we didn’t use stunt guys. We did on top of a real bus going through London for real, and we did it again and again and again. He kept going and I had to keep up with him."
The Family Plan 2 will premiere on Apple TV on November 21.
